Pui cu gutui ”Quinces chicken dish”

Da, e toamna iar, e vremea gutuilor......yes, it’s autumn, it’s quinces time.....so lets cook some
E toamna si in bucataria mea/It's autumn in my kitchen too...

Ingrediente/Ingredients:
- 1 pui/chicken
- 3 gutui/quinces
- 4 linguri de zahar/tbs sugar
- 3 cepe/onions
- sare/salt
- piper/pepper

Intre timp ce m-am gandit eu, ca n-ar strica si un paharel de vin alb/a small glass of white wine
Am transat puiul, l-am presarat cu sare, piper si iar mi-a venit inca o idee...putin delikat/cut the chicken into pieces, put on some salt, pepper and any spice you want
In timp ce puiul se imbiba de arome, am tocat ceapa, maruntel, nu foarte marunt/meanwhile, cut the onions
Am rumenit bucatile de pui...mama ce bine arata !!!/fry the chicken, nice, yummyy .....
Si m-am pus pe curatat gutuile. Se taie in sferturi si se curata casuta cu semintele, coaja se lasa, altfel se sfarama bucatile intr-o clipita. Imediat se pun la prajit. Pe masura ce le taiem le si punem in tigaie caci altfel isi schimba repede culoarea in contact cu aerul/slice the quinces and pull out the seeds, let the skin and fry on both sides

Asa, le-am prajit/here they are

Acum, pun zaharul intr-o craticioara pe foc mic si il caramelizez, atentie sa nu se arda, caci se schimba total gustul mancarii/caramelize the sugar, pay attention not to burn it
Asa trebuie sa arate in final, dupa care adaugam peste el cam 600 ml. apa si lasam pe foc sa se dizolve/this is how it should look, then pour 600 ml. water and let it melt on the stove, boil for a while

In cratita in care am calit ceapa tocata, am adaugat bucatile de pui + gutuile prajite si am turnat sosul de zahar ars...aha, era sa uit, am desfacut si 2 linguri de faina cu putina apa rece si le-am turnat la gramada, ca sa lege sosul (in reteta nu scria, dar mi-a venit mie asa un gand ca ar fi bine...si a fost ! Am aruncat si vinul si gata, pana aici./In a medium pan fry the onions, then add the chicken + quinces + caramel sugar. For a thicker sauce, mix 2 tbs of flour with some water (100 gr.)
Am transferat totul intr-o tava (tava mea preferata) care apare peste tot/put all the stuff in a tray
Si la cuptor cu ea pana se rumeneste/put it in the oven until it will become nice and brown

Mi-am pus o portie mica.....caci trebuie sa recunosc ca nu am mai mancat pana acum asa ceva.....nu stiu de ce, nu am avut nici macar curiozitatea pana la varsta asta (?), dar e buna, e misto, se poate manca macar 1 data pe an, cand e timpul gutuilor. Evident este si prima data in viata cand o gatesc, din cauza asta mi-au venit ideile pe parcurs./It’s the first time in my life when I cook this dish, I always thought that fruits with meat won’t go together, but for those who likes the combination, it’s a tasty dish. From now on I will cook it at least once a year, in autum when we can find lots of quinces in the market place
